The Preston Nutter Ranch is located in Carbon, Duchesne and Emery counties in eastern central Utah. Situated along the Green River, the Preston Nutter is one of the old historic ranches of Utah. Of historical significance because it was a way station for the early transcontinental telegraph, the Preston Nutter is also noted for its excellent hunting and early American Indian pictographs and petroglyphs along Nine Mile Canyon.
